Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) is a prevalent heart rhythm disorder associated with an increased risk of heart disease and stroke, two primary causes of mortality.

The Photo AFib Detector has been developed for individual AFib detection and heart rate monitoring purposes. This tool utilizes the back camera of your smartphone to capture a video of your fingertip, extracting the Photoplethysmography (PPG) signal to estimate two crucial parameters: RMSSD (Root Mean Square of Successive Difference) and ShE (Shannon Entropy) to aid in the detection of AFib. Additionally, it offers heart rate monitoring capabilities, displaying the percentage of your maximum heart rate once your age has been entered in the app's settings.
